Belén Astor-Martín

I am a Spanish student currently undertaking a course in Primary Education at the University of Glasgow. I have a keen interest in fashion, craft and design which lead to my setting up an independent business specialising in bespoke gifts and unique designs for all kind of events.

I enjoy spending my free time pursuing my love of theatre. I am a member of The Cecilian Society (The university of Glasgow’s musical theatre society) and have had principal roles in four of their productions as taking responsibility for designing and creating costumes for a cast of 83 students in a recent production of Bat Boy the musical.

In the past I have worked in nurseries and pre-schools as well as working for Xunta de Galicia (Galicia’s county council) on their summer camps for young people, instruction on windsurfing courses and well as teaching other water sports. These positions have allowed me to develop strong leadership and communicational skills as well as teaching me leadership and management skills which I feel would serve me well in any professional positions.
